Cheap Imitations

If you were to buy the ingredients in the supermarket and make a higgidy pie they would cost way more than if you bought a higgidy pie. So when you find a pie that costs a quid you have to ask what went into it and how is it possible – we don’t know but we would worry both about the ingredients and the people that the made it. We are proud of our pies and we understand their value. We're only interested in making the best pies, tarts and quiches; not the cheapest.

Nasty Extra Ingredients

In many ways our approach to cooking is as simple as your granny's. You don't need a degree in chemistry or food science to read the ingredients of higgidy pie. We work hard to get rid of all those complicated nasties with long names that most food manufacturers like to add in to make their lives easier and their products cheaper.
