Honey Mustard Sausages

These are a family favourite and I never have any left over! If you don’t have any grainy mustard try replacing with a small handful of sesame seeds and spoonful of soy sauce which works so well with the sticky runny honey.

Ingredients:

  • 500g cocktail sausages, separated
  • 1-2 tablespoons runny honey
  • 1 tablespoon grainy mustard

Makes about 30

Need oven tray, lightly oiled. Cocktail sticks to serve

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350*F (180*C) Gas 4
  2. Arrange the sausages in a single layer on oven tray
  3. Drizzle the honey over and put blobs of the mustard all over (Don’t worry if not evenly spread it’s easy to mix once hot)
  4. Roast for 15 minutes and then with a metal spoon toss all the sausages so they each get a good coating of honey and mustard.
  5. Roast for a further 15-20 mins until golden and sizzling

They are delicious hot and I think just as good eaten cold!

Have you tried it? What did you think?

Delicious, thank you! Only problem was my husband ate them so quickly I barely got to try them!

Hi James and Camilla,
Jane and I saw you, Camilla at HTB – very well done indeed! As I write I have just bought some quiches from Waitrose as a surprise snack on our Easyjet flight tomorrow to Egypt.
Everyone keeps asking me – what is the origin of Higgidy and I’ve no idea!

lots of love to you both – glad the honey and mustard sausages ( a malshanger favourite) are still going strong!

lots of love from us both
