- 20 slices day-old baguette, 1cm thick
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- garlic clove (optional)
Need oven tray. Pastry brush
- Pre-heat oven to 350*F (180*C) Gas 4
- Place baguette slices on oven tray
- Brush with olive oil (if you like you can also rub with cut side of garlic clove for more flavour)
- Bake until crisp and lightly golden, about 10 minutes
- Cool on wire wrack
Serve with hummus, a chunky guacamole or with our smoked mackerel pate (see below).
