Higgidy

The Higgidy Experience

by Molly, aged 13 on the 30th of August 2011

Crouching by the oven door, watching the baking pie,
My mouth is watering so much, I think it might run dry.
I mean: look at the surface! Such a pretty little star,
The box says it’s handmade; it’ll be the best by far.

Grinning at the timer (yes, there’s just one minute left!),
This little pie tastes so good it feels like committing theft.
I’m glancing left and right now, trying hard not to be seen,
As I pick the plate up in my hands and lick the china clean.

Oh Higgidy, thanks a bunch: your pies are really, really nice,
In fact I just adore them – they are now my special vice.
It feels so good to discover a veggie meal that’s not,
The usual mushroom soup out of a supermarket pot.

In fact it’s not just food; your philosophy’s really great,
It feels so good to know that there’s free range things on my plate.
Your website and passion are fab; there’s nothing else to say,
Except for this: thanks Higgidy, you’ve really made my day.
