Really delicious, full of real chunks of chicken and a crisp pastry , then topped with buttery puff pastry. Absolutely amazing! Well done!

Just had one of these and it’s delicious. It had everything-lovely texture, pastry and filling bubbling from the top. Fab. Just what you need on a cold winter’s day. I did say that I’d save my husband some but if he’s not back in the next few minutes…

Hi Camilla,
My mum was telling me about how lovely your pies are and she was explaining about the huge chucks of fresh meat and lovely creamy sauce fillings. She said it was the best pie she had ever tasted.
My mum brought me one of your chicken and white wine pies to try and I had it for dinner the other night. I have to say, It really is the best pie I’ve ever tasted too!
Not only are they fresh and delicious but they really fill you up too, I can’t wait to try the beef one next!
I wanted to let you know how much I loved the pie and to say thank you for creating something so delicious for us all to share.

This is the first Higgidy Pie I tried (only last night) but it certainly won’t be the last – I’m hooked already! I loved ever tiny bit of it, from the proper bits of chicken and bacon, the crisp puff pastry, to the beautiful puff pastry heart on top – what a fantastic thing to ‘top it off’ with. I was really quite amazed at the quality of this pie and felt it was certainly worth every penny! The packaging was what appealed to me first and I have to say I wasn’t let down even the tiniest bit when I tasted what was inside. I have to say this is probably the first time I have ever bothered to comment/review a product – normally people only care to mention things when they are either awful or amazing – and seeing as this is the first time I have been this impressed, I just had to write on here to say so. I look forward to trying a variety of your different pies and will be sure to recommend them. Hopefully they’ll become a regular dinner at the Dixon household. I really don’t think I’ll ever look at a non ‘Higgidy’ pie again!

Oh my gosh…we have found Higgidy Pies and gone to heaven! So far we’ve only tried the chicken one, but have decided that this is truely the best pies EVER! Excellent pastry, delicious chunky filling – definitely proper meat; unlike other makes we’ve had previously. We don’t think we can eat another make again; we are converts and even have to make an extra journey to a supermarket out of town as our local one doesn’t stock them! Thanks Higgidy :-)

Pies are delicious! Had the chicken and leek last week – truly scrumptious! Did notice that you’ve got dollop spelled incorrectly on the box with only one ‘l’. Thought you’d like to know.

We Love It!
The scrumptious Chicken Pot Pie from higgidy is filled with British chicken, ham and leeks in a creamy sauce. The pastry – so often disappointing in shop-bought pies – is an excellent crisp, buttery puff. Try it and taste for yourself…

“I tried my first Higgidy product (a spinach, feta & roasted red pepper quiche) last week when I had a friend over for lunch. We both agreed it was the loveliest, tastiest quiche we’d ever had! Normally quiche is rather disappointing, but not yours! It’s* packed with flavour* & geat textures. Last night we had your beef stilton & ale pies, yum, yum, yum! Thank you Higgidy for making such scrummy, high quality, wholesome food!”

“Love your pies. My daughter adores the chicken. I must admit I buy up any variety that are on the ‘reduced’ shelf in Sainsburys and store them in my freezer for a rainy day. Have you considered making family size pies? They’d go down very well in my house.”
- Thanks Tina, Since you wrote this we actually started making a Family Chicken Pot Pie, and Camilla is busily working or more.
