Machines
Machines are great for making anything from cars and microchips to rubber doorsteps and plastic spatulas. However, they are
not always so great for making something as unique as a pie. The 'experts' think we are crazy for not using more big machines
in our kitchen. Maybe we are gluttons for punishment - but we want to make the very best pies. So we still use our hands.

Cheap imitations
We love our pies. Right from their conception in our kitchen as a splodge of dough we care for them, we take time in creating
them right and we only use the best ingredients in generous amounts. By the time they emerge from the oven perfectly baked we are
proud of them and we know how valuable they are. We've chosen to make the best pies - not the cheapest.

Nasty Extra Ingredients
In many ways our approach to cooking is as simple as your granny's. You don't need a degree in chemistry or food science to read the
ingredients of higgidy pie. We work hard to get rid of all those complicated nasties with long names that most food manufacturers like to
add in to make their lives easier and their products cheaper.
