When your family grows there comes a point when you have got to find a new house. And that's whats happened at higgidy.
When we started making pies at Grange Road we were just 3 people. It suited us well. Now that the team has grown to almost 40 people (can you believe it?) we realized it was time to find a new home. So James has been working very these last few months preparing a new kitchen for higgidy a couple of miles along the coast at Dolphin Road. And this month we got the removal trucks in and moved everything up. We are really excited about our new place - handmaking pies takes up a lot of space if you are wanting to do it right and our new kitchen means that we can still try and get pies to everyone who wants them without compromising on quality. We've even got a 'board room' like a proper grown-up company but we mostly just use it for tasting pies!
